The 'Specially for Children subspecialty of Pediatric Nephrology provides diagnostic and consultative services, as well as treatment for infants, children, and adolescents with fluid and electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and primary renal problems. Patients typically are referred to our specialists by their primary care doctor and often have such conditions hematuria, proteinuria, chronic urinary tract infections, nephrotic syndrome, hypertension and congenital anatomic abnormalities. Management of acute and chronic renal failure through dialysis is included in our services. Close collaboration with Pediatric Urology, as well as other related subspecialties, is a vital part of our clinical renal program.
