'Specially for Children gastroenterologists and staff provide comprehensive care for children with a variety of disorders of the digestive system including conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver.  Specific diseases treated include Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, pancreatitis, chronic liver disease, biliary atresia, hepatitis, malnutrition, malabsorption, chronic diarrhea, constipation, gastroesophageal reflux, ulcers and failure to thrive.

The Pediatric Gastroenterology team provides diagnostic, consultative, and disease management services. We perform procedures when necessary such as conventional endoscopy and colonoscopy, wireless capsule endoscopy, banding ligation of varices, balloon dilatation of strictures, esophageal and pharyngeal pH monitoring, and breath hydrogen testing. We provide long-term management of children with a variety of chronic illnesses requiring state-of-the-art hospital, in-office infusion therapy and home care including the management of tube feedings and home parenteral nutrition.  In addition to the physicians, the staff includes registered nurses, dieticians and a social worker striving to enable children to resume full and healthful lives.
