The dermatology service cares for patients with a wide range of disorders of the skin such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, psoriasis and acne, as well as disorders of the hair and nails. Nevi or moles are also seen, in addition to a wide variety of skin infections.  The clinic also provides treatment for genetic skin diseases such as ichthyosis and epidermolysis bullosa, and skin manifestations of systemic diseases including lupus erythematosus and diabetes.  In addition, vascular (blood-vessel) birthmarks such as hemangiomas and “port-wine stains” are seen in great frequency.  Medical or laser treatment of these lesions is available here or in conjunction with the vascular birthmark group.
